Two Eight Hockey Academy and Sports Conditioning provides a high quality training atmosphere to help young hockey players improve their shooting and stick handling skills. Do to the high cost of ice time the facility gives players a low cost effective way to develop shooting and puck skills. The facility will also provide sports conditioning, speed/agility, strength and functional movement programs for hockey players as well as athlete from any other sport.

Goal Scoring is something that is lacking across all levels of hockey. Quite often, players are more concerned with making one more pass or picking the perfect spot to shoot instead of just getting the puck to the net. All hockey players want to score goals and parents want to see the player have success and score goals. There are many factors that go into winning a hockey game and every league keeps statistics of Goals For/Goals Against. These stats are particularly interesting to see which teams can shoot, win more games and extend their season due to the efficient shooting technique and puck handling skills.

Everyone is a goal scorer.  Scoring goals is a mindset.  They don’t need to be pretty, they just have to go in. When you start to think you are a goal scorer, you act like one and then all of a sudden, you are one.

Shooting

Shooting the puck properly requires the right technique from hand positioning to weight transfer which will help maximize a players power and accuracy of a shot. We breakdown a players mechanics and fine tune every detail to make sure they are using proper technique. We then make the players shoot from different positions and angles to replicate shooting on the ice. Wrist shots, slap shots, backhand and one timers will be introduced in a progression to make sure they can shoot all types of shots. Their dedication and practice in perfecting the techniques will translate to the ice surface and give confidence to each individual player. 

Memberships

All of the top Professional Hockey Players continue to work at the craft of shooting to maintain a high level of accuracy and scoring ability. Snipers Alley Membership is a monthly pass for unlimited shooting at Two Eight Hockey Academy. We offer several dirfferent options in the Snipers Club to help your player get enough repititions shooting the puck to work on his/her technique to become a sharp shooter during games. Mix in a few shooting lessons to keep their form on the right path and achieve muscle memory of a quality shooter. In the Snipers Club we track how many pucks you shoot per visit to help you reach the 10,000 Shot Mountain.

The Snipers Alley Monthly Membership allows you to stop on in and shoot as many pucks as you’d like. Purchase the membership and have access to special monthly rewards and deals on services.

Summer Training Program

Two Eight Hockey Academy and Sports Conditioning offers a comprehensive Summer workout program that will help you prepare for your upcoming season, no matter what the sport. At this age, it is critical for athletes to learn how to move in preparation for all sports by continuing to develop their motor skills. We will focus on strength, start/stop ability, landing, body control, change of direction and much more. 

Our goal is Complete Athletic and Personal Evolution. Two Eight Summer Program is a “Game Changer” and is a customization of all aspects of training in the ideal atmosphere for individuals seeking the fullest sports training and development experience.

All of our camps are built on quality so space is limited.

We may have “Hockey” in our name, but we train all types of athletes and individuals that are just looking to improve their overall health. Wether you’re a baseball, football, volleyball or softball player we can customize a training program that fits your needs. Our trainers are skilled in overall body symmetry to help you achieve more strength, power, speed, or vertical. Two Eight will keep you on top of your game and help you develop the foundation needed to make you a more competitive athlete.

If you’re and individual who’s just looking to get back into shape or shed a few pounds we can help you out, too! Overall personal health is just as important as an athlete training to perform at a higher level. We will help you have more energy, improve you stamina and just feel better about yourself. Two Eight offers Personal Training packages for those people that would like to do multiple trainings with our Instructors. They include all of the same great benefits we offer with an Individual Training, but allows you to save money within the package you’ve purchased.

 

Group Training

Group sessions are designed to provide individual athletes of all fitness levels with a dynamic personal training experience in a group setting. Working out together will help athletes work to reaching fitness goals, encourage one another and become fit. One of our trainers will lead the group through a high-energy training session where you’ll work together to get results.

Make a commitment to better yourself in your sport or get physically fit. By signing up to work out together two to five times each week.  The Group of athletes will depend on each other for success, so your attendance plays a role in individual and everyone’s achievements. Improve your balance, coordination, cardio, and strength functionality through our group training sessions designed to meet the needs of all athletic levels. Exceed all of your own expectations while fueling your work outs with the energy your group will provide.
